Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS:

40 hours per week; shifts are either 8am4pm, 9am5pm or 2pm10pm, including approximately one weekend in four, with 8am-4pm or 2pm-10pm shifts on both Saturday and Sunday. As a Housing Support Worker you will deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, helping them develop independent living skills, access services and move towards stable accommodation. Building professional relationships using psychological and trauma-informed approaches Case Management:

Managing a caseload, developing support plans and completing regular reviews Independent Living Skills:

Supporting budgeting, cooking, health, wellbeing and daily living activities Tenancy Sustainment:

Helping individuals maintain accommodation and prepare for resettlement Multi-Agency Working:

Liaising with local authorities, health services and voluntary organisations Income Maximisation:

Supporting access to benefits including Universal Credit and Housing Benefit Property Management:

Conducting room checks, reporting maintenance issues and managing voids Health and Safety:

Completing building checks, fire officer duties and security monitoring Group Activities:

Delivering group sessions such as cooking, gardening or creative activities Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate case notes and reports using internal systems CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL Previous experience in housing support, homelessness services or a related field Experience supporting people with complex needs including mental health or substance misuse Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing processes and safeguarding principles Strong communication and relationship-building skills A compassionate, non-judgemental and inclusive approach Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends Competence using IT systems such as Microsoft Office and case management databases DESIRABLE A relevant qualification in housing, health and social care or a related discipline Knowledge of trauma-informed, psychological or restorative practice Understanding of housing legislation and resettlement pathways Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle BENEFITS Company sick pay Pension contribution Life assurance (four times annual salary) Health care cash back scheme Employee Assistance Programme The organisation is committed to the active promotion of equal opportunity, both in the provision of services and as an employer of paid and unpaid workers.
