Marcilly Recruitment is seeking a professional, discreet, and experienced Live-In Housekeeper/Cook for a refined private residence in Mayfair, supporting a lovely UHNW couple in their London home.

This is a full-time live-in position. The family are in residence approximately four months of the year, with increased working hours during those times (sometimes 6 days a week, typically 7am–11pm with a break in the afternoon). When they are away, working hours are reduced, and there is a greater focus on deep cleaning and maintaining the home for their return.

\n\n

This is a hands-on, varied role that would suit someone calm, warm, and highly organised. Discretion, initiative, and a proactive attitude are essential, as is a flexible approach to changing routines and occasional entertaining.

Key Responsibilities:

\n\n

Morning Duties

\n\n

\n\t
• Prepare tea and coffee for principals
\n\t
• General tidying and cleaning of kitchen and living areas
\n\t
• Manage daily laundry and ironing
\n\t
• Make beds and tidy bedrooms used by principals or family guests
\n\t
• Organise and administer
\n\t
• Madam’s morning medication
\n\t
• Prepare and serve a light breakfast (typically around 11:00)
\n

\n\n

Afternoon Duties

\n\n

\n\t
• Prepare and serve lunch (typically 13:30)
\n\t
• Clean bathrooms after use
\n\t
• Continue laundry and ironing duties
\n\t
• Afternoon break (typically 15:00–17:00)
\n

\n\n

Evening Duties

\n\n

\n\t
• Prepare tea and light snacks
\n\t
• Prepare dinner (family may occasionally dine out)
\n\t
• Remain on standby until principals retire (around 23:00) – flexibility required during events or dinner parties
\n

Additional Responsibilities

• Occasional service and refreshments for guests
\n\t
• Wardrobe management and seasonal organisation
\n\t
• Packing and unpacking of luggage
\n\t
• Grocery stock checks and coordination with the House Manager or driver
\n\t
• Support for the son and daughter when in residence (light cooking, cleaning, unpacking)
\n\t
• Deep cleaning projects when principals are away
\n\t
• Event support (cheeseboards, snacks, table setting, plating for buffet, serving guests)
\n\t
• Maintain cleanliness of staff areas
\n

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

• Previous experience in a high-end private household
\n\t
• Strong cooking skills, ideally with experience in Punjabi cuisine
\n\t
• Excellent laundry and wardrobe management skills
\n\t
• Friendly, calm and professional manner Respectful and discreet, with the ability to work independently and take initiative

• Team player with a proactive and can-do attitude
\n\t
• Comfortable following instruction from both principals and House Manager
