\n \n \n Battersea, London, Hybrid 3 days a week in the office \n We are lookingfor a Senior Product Design Engineer, to join our UK NPD team building a new of innovative products for our Ninja brand. Working as part of our London Design Office, you will bring technical substance and inspiration to our creative efforts to deliver credible solutions to the market. \n Collaborates to help establish a project’s user, design, and functional requirements, deliver robust solutions to satisfy those requirements, then help to validate through testing and building consensus on next steps.

\n Takes overall ownership of designs through conception, CAD execution, prototyping and verification, whilst consistently working at pace & successfully develops team to do the same. \n Continuously evaluates and improves designs for cost efficiency, manufacturing improvements, increased quality and value to consumers. \n Applies sound engineering/ product design standards to deliver real solutions.

\n Typically, 5+ years of proven experience in Mechanical/ Electro-Mechanical Engineering environment. \n Mechanical Design & Analysis – Strong understanding of mechanical systems in high-voltage environments, including material selection, heat dissipation, vibration control, and structural integrity. \n Electromechanical Systems – Working knowledge of how mechanical components interact with electrical systems, including insulating materials, creepage/clearance distances, and thermal management.

\n CAD – Proficiency in SolidWorks (ideally) or Creo \n Manufacturing & Materials – Extensive experience in Injection moulding - Understanding of materials suitable for high-voltage applications (PPS / PAGF)\n High-Voltage Insulation & Safety – Expertise in managing electrical safety risks (dialectic, hi-pot, arcing etc)\n Risk Assessment & Failure Mode Analysis – Experience in FMEA, DFMEA, and HAZOP to assess risks in high-voltage systems. \n Testing & Certification Requirements – Understanding of IP ratings, dielectric strength testing, thermal runaway testing, and partial discharge testing. \n Prototype Development & Testing – Ability to design, build, and test mechanical prototypes in controlled environments.
