About the Role

As a History Teacher, your responsibilities may include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)

Teaching a broad and balanced History curriculum

Bringing historical events, themes, and interpretations to life

Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students

Assessing progress and providing constructive, meaningful feedback

Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

Managing behaviour in line with school policies

Working collaboratively with departments and senior leaders

Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

Requirements

QTS or QTLS (or strong FE History teaching experience)

Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History education

Adaptable, proactive, and professional approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Two professional references covering the last two years
