Job title: Highways Electrician About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Highways Electrician to join our team. You'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of street lighting and highway electrical assets, ensuring all work is delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety. Main Responsibilities Routine electrical street lighting maintenance and installation.

Non-routine electrical street lighting maintenance including fault finding and repairs.

Electrical testing.

Driving and operating company vehicles appropriate to the role.

Carry out risk assessments and work to company policies and procedures.

Work on own initiative or as part of a team and supervision of a working party.

Attending call outs as required.

Use of hand held electronic devices to record information.

Maintain safe standards throughout the delivery of work.

Delivery of work to maintain productivity expectations.

Contribute to deliver team objectives.

Delivery of work associated with the installation, repair, and maintenance of highways electrical assets in and out of core regional geographic area.

Key External Stakeholders: Customers

- Provision of effective and efficient delivery of work and customer relationship and service.

Subcontractors

- Engagement with subcontractors and other trades on site to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.

For all customer-facing roles, employees must understand any regulations, policies, and processes which relate to their job role and provide fair outcomes when giving service to our customers. Mandatory: NVQ Level 3 - Highway Electrical Work

Current edition of BS7671

NRSWA - LA 01 to 06 + 08 relevant to role

Current Driving Licence up to 7.5t

Flexible to work on multiple sites across a wide geographic area

G39, HESA 210 and 214 (G39 and Safe isolation)

HESA 714 (inspect and test) or equivalent

IPAF

Desirable: ECS Card and appropriately populated HERS portfolio

Emergency First Aid at Work

Manual Handling (HESA 104) or equivalent

General Environmental Awareness
