High Level Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching is proud to be working with a diverse and welcoming mainstream primary school in Norbury, South West London. We are currently looking for a determined and driven High Level Teaching Assistant to be a part of an inclusive two-form entry school from May 2026.
POSITION DETAILS
· Location - Norbury, South West London
· Position - High Level Teaching Assistant
· Type of work - PPA Cover, SEN Support inside/outside the classroom, interventions, supporting the class teacher
Start date - May 2026
Position type - Full time Long Term
Salary - £125 - £150
Hours - 8:15am - 15:45pm: Mon - Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong UK experience in primary and early years settings, confidently leading whole‑class learning during PPA cover and teacher absence.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Extensive experience supporting pupils with a range of SEN, 1:1 support and individual/group interventions.
Proven ability to deliver high‑quality learning, ensuring inclusion and continuity of teaching across the curriculum.
Effective behaviour management, maintaining a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
Fully committed to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and ongoing professional development.
HLTA / Degrees / Certificates in relation to childcare education are highly desirable (e.g. Level 3 CACHE in Childcare, BA Hons in Childcare, etc)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
