HGV & Vehicle Mechanic

Gordon Bow Plant Hire Ltd is a medium sized, privately run, family business based in Broxburn, West Lothian, providing service to the construction industry.

We are looking for a HGV & Vehicle Mechanic who will assist with the ongoing maintenance of our fleet vehicles.

The key responsibilities include the servicing, maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles including diesel vans of our fleet at our Broxburn Depot.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and have experience working with a range of vehicles.

Applicants must be flexible with regard to overtime working and hold a full driving licence.

*Applicants must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.*

Key role:

Responsibilities:

* Conduct maintenance and servicing in accordance with the servicing schedule to ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards. * Diagnose mechanical issues & provide appropriate solutions * Prepare vehicles for MOT * Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out. * The ability to efficiently diagnose faults ensuring the work is completed on time economically and efficiently. * Responding quickly and efficiently to breakdowns. * Able to work safely whilst meeting deadlines
