HGV Technician

The main function will be to undertake maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicle/trailers of all types, to diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicle and complete permanent and thorough repairs.
You should have strong mechanical knowledge and experience of Euro 6 trucks.
Work Pattern:
Monday - Friday (Saturday also available).
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) trucks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manoeuvring of vehicle components.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts and systems.
- Use power tools and equipment to complete repairs and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Skills:
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts.
- proficient in soldering electrical components.
- Familiarity with power tolls and equipment used in vehicle repair.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues and add-blue.
- excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
