HGV Technician/ Fitter - Fylde CoastWe are looking to recruit an HGV Fitter/Technician for a local Haulage CompanyThis is a full-time, permanent position.Hourly rate is TOTALLY dependent on experience, qualifications and skill set and the hours can be flexible. Between £15 to £20 an hour.Day shift, Monday to Friday, 40 to 45 a week contract, start / finish times to suit.Role & ResponsibilitiesPerform minor and major repairs on lorries and trailersConduct preventative maintenance on all vehicles in a timely, efficient and cost-effective wayInspections and MOT preparationsMaintain parts inventoryMaintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehiclesAttend local breakdowns in surrounding areas if necessaryMaintain a safe working environmentCarry out additional tasks as requested by the Workshop ManagerSkillsFull driving licence - Class 1 would be an advantage although not essentialProven experience as an HGV Mechanic / FitterQualified HGV mechanic or qualified by experienceGood standard of verbal and written communication skillsAble to use initiative and work aloneGood understanding of the MOT test requirements and legislationIf you're looking for a role that doesn't centre around chasing bonus and meeting strict KPIs, this could be for you!Who are you applying to?The Solution Automotive Recruitment have been placing candidates into the UK Motor Trade since 1999.
