People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Steel Driver to join our well-established client based in Halesowen .
This position would be ideal for an applicant looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver / Truck Driver/ Category C Driver.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.
Shifts:
• Monday to Friday
• Start times: 6am - 8am
Rates of Pay:
• £15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Steel Driver are:
• Delivering steel products on flat beds
• Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
Essential Skills:
The skills required as a HGV Class 2 Steel Driver are:
• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Minimum of twelve month's experience driving Category C vehicles
• Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Punctual with excellent time-keeping
• Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• Previous experience working in the steel industry
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
