HGV Class 2 Day Driver – Hemel Hempstead People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. Shifts: • Monday to Friday
Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity. • Start times between 05:00 – 06:00 Rates of Pay: • £16.50 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Class 2 Driver will be: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Temp-to-perm opportunities • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will be: • Carrying out multi-drop deliveries (handball involved) • Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management • Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required Essential Skills: The skills required to be a HGV Class 2 Driver are: • Valid UK Category C driving licence • Minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category C vehicles • Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes • Good spoken and written English • Punctual with excellent time-keeping • Good understanding of traffic xehkeey laws and regulations • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: • Training and support provided throughout the assignment Apply: If you are ready to take on this opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
