People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in Minworth, Birmingham .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression, including temp-to-perm.
This position is ideal for candidates seeking roles as an LGV Class 2 Driver , Category C Driver , or HGV Driver .
Shifts:
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Start times from 06:00
Rates of Pay:
• £15.00 per hour (basic)

Day to Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 2 Day Driver , your day-to-day duties will include:
• Deliveries to businesses within a 75-mile radius of the depot
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules
• Multi-drop deliveries ranging from 10 to 20 drops per day
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be a HGV Class 2 Day Driver are:
• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence
• Minimum of two years' experience driving Category C vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
Desirable Experience:
• Previous commercial driving experience
Training Provided:
• Industry-related training and ongoing support
