HGV Class 1 Night Driver – Rotherham, South Yorkshire
People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Night Drivers to join our well-established client based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This role is ideal for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for consistent night-shift work. It would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts:
•  Sunday - Thursday Nights
•  Start times between: 20:00 – 01:00
Rates of Pay:
•  £20.00 per hour (Sunday - Thursday)

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to):
•  Category CE multi-drop deliveries
•  Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
•  Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections
•  Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
•  Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
•  Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
•  Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
•  Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
•  Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
•  Minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
•  No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
•  Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
•  Good spoken and written English
•  Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
•  Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
•  Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
•  Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
Training:
•  Driver assessment required prior to starting
•  One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
•  Ongoing industry-related training and support
