HGV Class 1 Driver

If you are a HGV Class 1 Driver with at least two years' experience and looking for a new venture this may be a great opportunity for you.

People Solutions are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for our client based in Severn Beach. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay.

Shifts:

  • Working four days out of seven (will include weekend working)
  • 11-hour shifts: start times between 3pm - 6pm

Pay Rates:

  • £17.36 per hour basic
  • £20.26 per hour - £25.91 per hour overtime

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will be:

  • Driving Category CE Vehicles safely and efficiently (trunking)
  • Driving from the depot in Severn Beach to depot in Yorkshire
  • Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
  • Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code
  • Maintain all health and safety standards
  • Complete all deliveries as required
  • Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy
  • Communicate any issues / delays effectively
  • Abide by all working time rules and regulation

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be a HGV Class 1 Driver are:

  • Hold a full UK Category CE Driving Licence
  • Hold a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC)/Driver CPC
  • Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have at least two years experience driving Category CE vehicles

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous trunking experience

Training:

  • Must pass a driving assessment and then undergo a full paid induction
