Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver to join our team. The role involves driving to our palletised freight partners to collect and deliver goods. Most loading and unloading is carried out using forklift trucks; however, some use of electric pallet trucks and occasional manual handling may be required.

There may also be occasional Saturday morning trailer movements, paid as overtime.

Key Responsibilities Driving Duties

Drive Class 1 vehicles to palletised freight partners for collection and delivery of goods

Health & Safety

Support the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors in maintaining Health & Safety standards

Ensure CPC training is kept up to date (funded by the company)

Comply with all company and regulatory Health & Safety requirements

Client & Team Interaction

Communicate professionally and respectfully with pallet partners and colleagues

Report any issues through appropriate channels in a timely and professional manner

Represent the company positively at all times, maintaining a professional appearance and vehicle standards

Skills & Attributes

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable working night shifts

Strong work ethic and reliability

Qualifications (Preferred but Not Essential)

Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)

Minimum 12 months experience driving a Class 1 vehicle

Working Hours

45 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday

Shift patterns:

04:30

14:30 (approx. 90% of shifts)

07:00

17:00 (approx. 10% of shifts)

Includes a 1-hour lunch break

Overtime

Monday support as required (contracted overtime)

Occasional Saturday morning work (paid as overtime)

Salary & Benefits

£34,000

£37,000 per annum (depending on experience)

22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
