Heavy Plant Engineer – Exeter
Salary: £17-20 per hour

NEOS Engineering is currently recruiting on behalf of a busy and dynamic plant maintenance company based around Exeter. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Heavy Plant Engineer to join their team.
About the Role
As a Heavy Plant Engineer, you’ll play a key role in inspecting, servicing, and repairing a wide range of plant machinery, ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards and ready to meet customer demands. This is a hands-on role, working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Work safely and efficiently within the workshop and on customer sites.
Inspect, repair, and maintain various plant machinery and equipment.
Carry out servicing according to manufacturer schedules and company standards.
Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with management.
Support a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in plant maintenance and repair.
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance or a related discipline — or the motivation to achieve this qualification.
Personal set of tools suitable for the role.
Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
Strong communication skills, honesty, and respect for colleagues and customers.
Flexibility to meet customer needs and adapt to changing priorities.
Reliability and commitment to providing excellent service.
