Heating Engineer (Biomass / Renewable)
Location: Aberdeenshire
Work type: Permanent, Full Time Salary: £40,000 – £55,000, dependent on experience
Our client, a specialist in renewable heating systems based in Aberdeenshire, is seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join their team. While direct biomass experience is ideal, they’re equally open to Heating or Gas Engineers looking to retrain into biomass with full support and structured training provided.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned servicing and reactive maintenance on biomass boilers and solar systems
Install and commission biomass and renewable heating systems across domestic and small commercial settings
Diagnose faults and deliver timely, practical repairs
Provide technical guidance to customers and assist with system usage
Integrate solar thermal and solar PV systems where required Candidate Requirements
Plumbing & Heating qualifications with relevant hands-on experience
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with domestic and small commercial boiler systems
Knowledge of heating controls, hydraulics, or district heating (advantageous but not essential)
Biomass background —training available for strong foundational candidates
Full UK driving licence

30 days annual leave including bank holidays
