We’ve partnered with an award-winning communications consultancy to find a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join their highly successful healthcare team. The Consultant/Senior Consultant will play a leading role in providing hands-on counsel and comms services to a broad range of clients tackling global healthcare challenges, helping to deliver original thinking and creative strategies to meet each client’s specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide timely and relevant tactical advice to clients on developing and placing reactive and proactive news stories and comment to drive coverage in priority media outlets.
2. Plan concepts for and oversee delivery of press conferences and media events.
3. Provide reactive press office services, including drafting media statements.
4. Contribute creatively toward new business pitches, and identify new business or cross-selling opportunities.

Key Requirements:

1. Proven track record of experience working in a healthcare communications role, ideally within a consultancy or in-house team.
2. Excellent knowledge of healthcare/pharmaceutical PR.
3. Team player with the ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines.
4. Ability to manage and develop junior staff.
