Job Title: Health & Safety Manager\n\nLocation: South UK (remote working with regular travel UK wide)\n\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) + great company benefits\n\nAn exciting opportunity has emerged for an experience and qualified Health & Safety Manager to join our company, working with one of our major UK supermarket clients.\n\nThe role be to assist in the management and delivery of an effective Corporate Health and Safety service to ensure City Facilities Management (UK) Ltd and City Facilities Management (Distribution) Ltd meets its statutory responsibilities and provides safe working environments for employees, clients and those affected by our undertaking across all retail, distribution and office sites.\n\nThe role is South based and covers the South of England and South Wales. Occasional travel will be required to the Glasgow Head Office.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Formulate and develop health and safety systems, procedures, and practice\n\n * Review procedures to accommodate new and existing legislation, Codes of Practice and Guidance, as directed\n\n * Implement and monitor policy and plans, including accident and incident investigations, reporting and analysis, and promote improvements\n\n * Assist and develop audit and risk management procedures appropriate to the full range of CFM’s activities and properties.\n\n * To undertake safety audits to monitor the systems and verify audit reports\n\n * Provide advice and assistance to Directors, Senior Managers, Employees on all matters relating to health and safety and where appropriate environmental issues\n\n * Review health and safety performance of colleagues within various departments of CFM\n\n * Liaise with Enforcement agencies and ASDA Regional Compliance Team as required\n\n * Support on other initiatives across City group of companies as required\n\nSPECIAL FEATURES:\n\n * High degree of flexibility in working hours\n\n * High degree of mobility – travelling throughout nominated area\n\n * Overnight stays away from home as required and based on work load\n\n * Personal fitness – the nature of the job requires the jobholder to climb ladders etc.\n\n * Minimum of one year post qualification in a full time Health & Safety role\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nAt City, we take pride in supporting our colleagues with a fantastic range of exciting benefits designed to enhance both their professional and personal lives.
