Health & Safety Manager\n\nManchester (with sites across Manchester and London)\n\n£35,000 - £40,000 per annum + package\n\nAbout the Company\n A dynamic and growing business specialising in multi-site projects across the commercial and construction sectors. Projects range from £50k to £2 million in value, offering a diverse and challenging working environment. The company values safety, compliance, and high-quality delivery, with a strong focus on supporting employees in their professional development.\n\nThe Role\n We are looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to oversee up to 10 live sites across Manchester and London.
This is a hands-on role, requiring regular site visits, close collaboration with project teams, and ensuring all activities meet legal and company safety standards.\n\nAs Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:\n\nDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining robust Health & Safety policies and procedures across multiple sites.\n\nCarrying out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.\n\nPreparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).\n\nEnsuring adherence to NEBOSH, CPP, and other relevant safety standards.\n\nProviding advice and guidance to site managers, supervisors, and operatives.\n\nMonitoring and reporting on safety performance, incidents, and near misses.\n\nSupporting project teams in delivering safe and compliant works on projects ranging from £50k - £2M.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n The successful Health & Safety Manager will have:\n\nNEBOSH qualification (Construction or General) and CPP certification.\n\nProven experience managing Health & Safety across multiple sites in commercial or construction projects.\n\nStrong understanding of RAMS preparation and implementation.\n\nAbility to conduct regular site visits and inspections confidently.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence teams and stakeholders.\n\nStrong organisational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities across sites.\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 plus package.\n\nOpportunity to work on diverse projects across Manchester and London.\n\nSupportive working environment with professional development opportunities.\n\nA challenging and varied role with significant responsibility and impact.\n\nApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris. \n\nBuilding Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
