Health & Safety Manager – Multi-Site Industrial Operation
Midlands & Outer London (Field-based, multi-site), with regular regional travel
Circa £50,000 - £60,000 + car allowance + excellent benefits
We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to support operational safety across a group of busy industrial sites, with a focus on heavy plant, equipment, and high-risk activity. This is a hands-on role partnering with site teams to improve safety performance and embed a strong, proactive safety culture. You will be part of a wider HSEQ function and work closely with site leadership and operational staff to ensure that safety systems are understood, followed, and continuously improved.

The Role:
Support H&S activities across multiple industrial sites in the region.
Partner with site teams to drive engagement and promote positive safety behaviours.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of key safety systems such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work, confined space entry, and machinery controls.
Contribute to investigations, reporting, and ongoing safety improvement initiatives.
Lead on wellbeing strategy
Developing, driving, and implementing the health, safety, and wellbeing culture across all sites
Leading the requirements of the Integrated Management System, ensuring processes and documentation are maintained and where appropriate, improved to support ISO45001.
Supporting annual ISO audits and pre-audit preparation
Ensure the processes and applications for accident/incident/hazard reporting are fit for purpose and reliable.
Health & Safety Manager
About You:
NEBOSH-qualified, with solid experience in a heavy manufacturing, waste, or similar heavy plant environment
Strong understanding of operational safety processes, including LOTO and other high-risk controls.
Experience with regulatory frameworks and/or ISO
Able to build effective relationships across operational teams and influence day-to-day practices.
Able to lead, implement and instigate H&S projects.
Comfortable with regular travel between regional sites
Full UK driving licence for business travel.
Initiative-taking, practical, and confident working on the front line of safety
Understanding of occupational health systems within the workplace
IT Literate: highly proficient in MS applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
