The Role...
At Soho House, as the Head Receptionist , you will lead the front-of-house reception team in delivering a seamless, warm, and high-standard welcome to all restaurant guests and members. Acting as the first point of contact, you will manage reservations, coordinate seating, and ensure an efficient and smooth guest arrival experience. You will oversee guest enquiries, support the flow of service between the reception and dining areas, and maintain the day-to-day organisation of the host desk. You will be responsible for setting the tone of hospitality, training the team, and ensuring all procedures align with the House's service standards and values.

Key duties...
Supervise daily reception operations including guest arrivals, reservations management, seating coordination, and front-of-house service interactions.
Lead and train reception staff to provide warm, professional, and efficient guest service
Ensure accurate booking and reservation processes, using the guest booking system (Open table)
Handle escalated guest queries or complaints with professionalism and discretion
Maintain a strong presence at the front desk, supporting and mentoring junior staff
Liaise with kitchen, FOH, security, and management to ensure a coordinated guest experience
Conduct shift briefings and ensure handovers are clear and complete
Prepare reports on guest feedback and operational performance
Monitor grooming standards, team etiquette, and adherence to club protocols
Support recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of front office team
Maintain updated knowledge of all facilities, offerings, events, and policies to inform guests confidently
What we are looking for...
2-3 years' experience in a restaurant receptionist or front desk supervisory role
Experience in luxury hospitality, F&B venues, or private members clubs
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in restaurant reservation systems (e.g., Open table or equivalent)
Calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues with a guest-first mindset
