*Role Description*

Gardner Champion Solicitors is seeking a Head of Residential Conveyancing for a full-time, office-based role in Dewsbury (West Yorkshire).

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and strengthening the residential conveyancing department. You will manage a varied caseload of property transactions, supervise and support a team of Conveyancers and Fee Earners, and ensure consistent delivery across all files.

The role requires someone who can take ownership of performance, maintain compliance standards, and drive improvements across the department. You will work closely with clients to ensure transactions progress efficiently and report directly to the management team.

*Qualifications*

* Strong experience handling all aspects of residential conveyancing and property transactions, with a minimum of 5 years PQE and current CQS accreditation
* Experience supporting or leading a conveyancing team, including mentoring and developing Conveyancers and Fee Earners
* Solid understanding of conveyancing regulations and compliance frameworks, including Lexcel and CQS standards
* Experience overseeing file progression, risk management, and compliance with AML, SRA, and GDPR requirements
* Ability to maintain quality and consistency through effective use of case management systems
* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with a focus on delivering high levels of client service
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer (CLC), Solicitor, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
* Proficient in conveyancing systems and Microsoft Office
* Experience contributing to departmental performance, process improvement, and handling complaints

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.
