Job Title: Head of Finance — Location: Kettering — Salary: up to £70,000 This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. Hydrosave is part of the South Staffordshire Group – a 3,000‑strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses – offering long‑term development and career progression. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead and develop a high‑performing finance team, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting while providing strategic insight to operational leaders. This is a key leadership role where you will influence business performance, support commercial decision‑making, and help shape the financial future of the organisation. The Role
Lead, manage, and develop the Finance and Administration teams Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts Partner with Directors and Divisional Leads on budgets and forecasts Oversee cash flow management and forecasting to support business planning Provide financial insight to drive commercial performance and profitability Support pricing strategies and tender submissions Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners Manage and coordinate the annual external audit process Ensure compliance with Group financial policies and procedures
What You’ll Need
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) Proven experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts Strong track record in cash flow management and financial planning Experienced in leading, coaching, and developing finance teams Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels Commercially astute with a proactive and strategic mindset
