You will play a pivotal role in supporting growth, shaping strategic decision-making, and strengthening financial governance within a complex, regulated financial services environment.
Please note that this is an onsite role that will require you to work within our London office (near Liverpool street) 5 days on site per week

Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Strategy Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, projects, and programmes that drive growth and maximise business impact. Set, monitor, and challenge financial and non-financial performance targets across operational and strategic activities. Lead finance oversight for key projects, including new product initiatives, strategic partnerships, and M&A activity. Partner closely with senior leaders and the Executive to support business development through robust financial modelling and analysis. Build strong relationships across the Group, including with the Board and Executive Committee, ensuring Finance is central to decision-making.
Financial Management, Risk & Control Ensure strong financial management, control, and governance across the business. Lead delivery of the year-end audit and half-year review, acting as the primary interface with external auditors. Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and support audit deliverables. Take responsibility for procurement, vendor management, and outsourcing arrangements. Work closely with HR, Tax, Treasury, and Prudential Regulation teams to ensure accurate payroll, tax compliance, effective treasury management, and regulatory reporting.
People Leadership Lead and develop the Finance function across Financial Control, Technical Accounting, and FP&A. Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing finance team, embedding best practice and continuous improvement. Align team objectives with the wider operational and strategic goals of the business. Support professional development and succession planning within the team.
About You Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 10+ years post-qualified experience. Significant senior finance leadership experience within financial services. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge at Executive level. Proven track record of building and leading successful finance teams. Strategic, analytical, and innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capability. High level of personal drive, accountability, and motivation to deliver results through others.
