The Role
As Head of Facilities, you’ll oversee all building systems, maintenance, and event operations to keep this major public venue running safely, smoothly, and sustainably. Leading a skilled team of Facilities Managers, you’ll ensure every system - from HVAC and electrical to housekeeping and event setup - performs at its best.
You’ll combine strategic direction with hands-on leadership, balancing compliance, technical excellence, and people management in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Facilities Managers across maintenance, housekeeping, and event setup
- Drive compliance, safety, and operational excellence across all systems
- Oversee PPM schedules, budgets, and contractor performance
- Support capital projects and sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with event teams to deliver seamless event operations
About You
You’re an experienced facilities or operations leader with proven success managing complex venues, estates, or large public spaces.
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
- IOSH Managing Safely (essential)
- Skilled in budgeting, compliance and leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Calm under pressure with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- NEBOSH qualification
- Experience in arenas, stadiums, or large venues
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 50001
