Salary & Benefits: Competitive package available About the Role We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on the pivotal role of Group Head of Engineering within our Bus division. As a member of our senior leadership team, youll be responsible for leading the engineering function across multiple operating companies. This is a strategic role that offers the opportunity to drive innovation, embed best practices, and align engineering excellence with our business objectives. Key Responsibilities Champion the development and deployment of a best-in-class Fleet Management System Collaborate with Operating Company Engineering Directors to optimise fleet performance Embed safety, reliability, and sustainability across fleet operations Leverage technology and data to drive innovation and informed decision-making Lead workforce optimisation, training, and capability development initiatives Maintain rigorous quality assurance through audit and performance oversight Regularly report to top management on engineering and fleet performance Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence What Were Looking For Technical Expertise: Proven engineering acumen with deep understanding of systems, processes, and technologies A track record in delivering complex engineering projects and implementing scalable systems Ability to analyse data and convert insights into measurable improvements Visionary thinking with strong strategic planning capability Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in complex, matrixed environments Skilled in stakeholder engagement and driving cross-functional collaboration Agile mindset to adapt to change and lead transformation at scale Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or masters degree in engineering or a related discipline Significant experience in a senior engineering leadership role Demonstrated success in leading large teams and multi-site operations Personal Qualities: A confident, communicative, and emotionally intelligent leader Empathetic and collaborative in managing people and solving challenges Committed to sustainability, innovation, and excellence Resilient under pressure, with the integrity to lead by example This is a high-impact role that spans across the UK and international sites, with travel required to support and oversee local operations.
