St David Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Fryer to join our well-established client at their idyllic coastal fish and chip shop.
Located in a popular tourist hotspot, this fast-paced venue becomes exceptionally busy during peak season, serving up to 700 covers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality food.

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a fish & chip shop or strong frying experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
Excellent knowledge of frying techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and safe working practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail and consistency.
A positive, team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
Reliable, professional, and confident in taking responsibility.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
What You’ll Do
Work closely with the Manager to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
Take full responsibility for kitchen and frying operations
Lead all frying duties, preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard.
Maintain excellent food quality, portion control, and presentation.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise waste.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen organisation.
Conduct regular quality and temperature checks to ensure product safety and guest satisfaction.
Keep all equipment, frying stations, and kitchen areas clean, safe, and well maintained.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless service.
Support training and development of team members.
