Job Description
Baxterstorey is seeking an experienced and visionary Head Chef to join our team in Coddington, United Kingdom. As the Head Chef, you will lead our kitchen operations, create innovative menus, and inspire culinary excellence in our establishment.
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of kitchen staff to ensure high standards of culinary performance
Create and implement seasonal menus that align with current food trends and nutritional guidelines
Manage food costs, inventory, and budgets to maintain profitability whilst ensuring quality
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of hygiene
Collaborate with the management team to enhance overall guest satisfaction and drive business growth
Source and maintain relationships with local suppliers to procure high-quality ingredients
Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance management
Managing Stock Inventory
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a kitchen team effectively
Excellent culinary skills and in-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques
Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen management best practices
Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimise kitchen efficiency
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
Relevant food safety certifications (e.g., Level 4 Food Safety)
Knowledge of current culinary trends and nutritional guidelines
Experience with inventory management and kitchen equipment maintenance
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
