About us: We’re looking for a Head Chef for our food-famous pub - The White Horse in Hascombe, near Godalming. We are a bustling community village pub that has a reputation for fantastic food and stunning service that extends well beyond the borders of the village. Our food is all about serving elevated seasonal dishes that showcase locally sourced produce, inspired by our countryside – we even have our own dry ager for beef! We’re looking for a Head Chef to put their stamp on the menu by writing recipes and creating dishes that will continue to improve our offer. Aside from writing recipes and ensuring the delivery of delectable dishes, you’ll be looking after health and safety, developing your team and looking after all aspects of kitchen management. Have experience championing excellent service through quality food either as a Head Chef or in the position of Sous Chef Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team Be an active hands-on team player with excellent communication skills Be responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times Be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
