Overview We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance professional to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our clients premises. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supervising maintenance activities to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a customer-focused approach to facility management.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
* Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functioning.
* Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
* Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust automated systems.
* Perform welding and other fabrication tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
* Lead maintenance teams or supervise contractors during repairs or upgrades.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and organisational policies.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
* Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with a strong mechanical background.
* Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, PLCs, and automation controls.
* Skilled in welding, mechanical repairs, and general troubleshooting techniques.
* Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics effectively.
* Leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
* Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical trades are advantageous.
