Group Sales Officer

1 Days Old

About The Role

Working at the National Memorial Arboretum is unlike anywhere else. This is a place of national importance, where remembrance, reflection and learning sit at the heart of every visit. As Group Sales Officer, you’ll play a key role in welcoming thousands of group visitors each year from community organisations to coach tours helping them plan meaningful, well-organised visits that leave a lasting impression. It’s a role that blends purpose with pace, offering the chance to contribute directly to the Arboretum’s income while supporting its mission.

The Arboretum is the UK’s dedicated year-round centre of Remembrance and is part of the Royal British Legion. At its core, the Royal British Legion is a people-focused organisation. It’s made up of individuals who are committed to doing their very best for others, while also making the most of the opportunities and experiences we provide.

You’ll be at the centre of our group sales activity, building relationships, responding to enquiries and shaping tailored packages that meet the needs of different audiences. From promoting flagship events and seasonal experiences to spotting new opportunities in the group travel market, your work will have a real and visible impact. You’ll enjoy variety, working across sales, marketing and customer service, and collaborating closely with colleagues and volunteers to ensure every group visit runs smoothly from first contact to arrival on site.

This role would suit someone who enjoys speaking to people, takes pride in great service and likes seeing plans come together. You’ll be organised, confident on the phone and comfortable juggling bookings, data and deadlines, while still bringing warmth and enthusiasm to every interaction. In return, you’ll be part of a supportive, values-led team, working in a truly special setting and helping visitors connect with the stories, spaces and significance of the Arboretum.

Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR.

The site is also filled with around 30,000 maturing trees and a wealth of wildlife, making it a beautiful and peaceful place to reflect. Each year, the Arboretum attracts around 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend over 200 events held throughout the year.
