Group Reporting Analyst

Following a recent review of our business needs, we have identified a key role for a Group Reporting Analyst to join our Finance team. This position is ideally suited for candidates who are part qualified and eager to develop their skills and contribute to a collaborative environment.
About: Global Marine Group is a leading independent provider of submarine cable solutions offering a broad range of services including consultancy, installation, and maintenance covering the lifespan of a submarine cable system and delivered to customers worldwide.
Purpose: Our parent group requires detailed reporting to meet their needs and understand underlying performance across their portfolio, through regular monthly reporting and budgeting and forecasting cycles. The Group Reporting Analyst will deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports, helping to understand the drivers of reported results to improve forecasting. You will work closely with stakeholders to improve reporting processes and ensure on-time delivery, minimizing errors.
Key Deliverables:
- Prepare and develop detailed reports, including testing and error correction.
- Manage complex data to provide insights that inform decision-making, presenting information clearly and concisely.
- Understand the source, flow, and transformation of reported data.
- Review reporting to locate, assess, and fix errors or understand anomalies proactively.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance data integrity and reporting efficiency.
- Support budgeting and forecasting, including submission review, aggregation, and reporting with analysis highlights.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and implement process improvements.
- Support stakeholders through process changes to meet group reporting needs.
Qualifications:
- At least part-qualified accountant or actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
- Analytical, proactive, with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets accurately.
- Proficiency in creating clear visual reports with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with internal stakeholders.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage priorities.
This role requires working on-site 3 days a week at our Chelmsford office, with 2 days remote (including Friday). Please note:
