Description Were looking for a forward-thinking, people-first Group IT Director to lead and shape the future of IT across the Carey Group. Whether your experience comes from construction, logistics, manufacturing, or retail , youll understand the importance of operational excellence, and youll bring with you a natural ability to translate complex technical needs into business value. As Group IT Director, youll be responsible for ensuring our infrastructure, systems, and digital tools are robust, secure and scalable. Youll work closely with senior leaders across our construction, drylining, and plant & fleet businesses, leading an expert team of 15 and shaping the strategic direction of IT to support growth, innovation and day-to-day operations. What You'll Do- Lead and develop a high-performing IT team, embedding a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure robust systems, cybersecurity and business continuity protocols are in place
- Oversee infrastructure, support, software licensing, and application performance
- Align IT strategy with business goals and operational needs
- Provide clear, strategic input on capacity planning, vendor relationships, and IT governance
- Drive insights and improved decision-making through data strategy and reporting
- Act as a trusted advisor to our leadership teamscollaborating, challenging and enabling success
- A seasoned IT leader with proven experience across enterprise infrastructure, digital transformation, and team leadership
- A hands-on understanding of Microsoft, ERP systems, cloud platforms, and networking
- Strong communication and stakeholder skillsyou translate tech into meaningful business outcomes
- Practical experience leading IT in complex operational environments (construction, logistics, manufacturing or retail experience a big plus!)
