Role: Financial Reporting Accountant

Role Purpose
Morson are expanding their Financial Reporting team and are recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant to join a fast-growing international business. This role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, complex group reporting, and strategic finance projects.
The Financial Reporting Accountant will support the delivery of statutory accounts, board reporting, and audit processes. They will work closely with a supportive team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, contributing to technical accounting, consolidation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities for the Role:
Support and coordinate the Group's annual audit and statutory financial statement process, acting as a key liaison with external auditors, private equity stakeholders, and banks.
Prepare and review statutory returns and accounting papers for new business lines and client contracts.
Become a super-user of the Group consolidation system (Tagetik), including preparing and posting consolidation adjustments for monthly Board Packs and annual statutory accounts.
Prepare monthly Board Packs and performance analysis, including analytical review and commentary on key variances.
Support the implementation of new IFRSs and other reporting requirements, including non-financial and climate-related reporting.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and challenge outcomes where appropriate.
Contribute to budgeting, systems enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across financial reporting and consolidation processes.
Support tax compliance activity, acquisition integration, banking system maintenance, and wider finance projects as required.
What we are looking for:
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with proven experience in financial accounting.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and interest in group reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and strong communication abilities.
Experience in a multi-entity, international, or PE-backed environment is advantageous but not essential.
Exposure to consolidation systems such as Tagetik is beneficial.
Proactive, delivery-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
