Group Financial Controller

Our client is a fast-growing PE backed manufacturing group based near Newport. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to hire an experienced Group Financial Controller. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Oversight:

Take full responsibility for the financial and management accounting functions for the Group, including leading and developing the finance team. Consolidation & Reporting:

Responsible for the monthly consolidation of group financial results, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Board and shareholders. Business Segment Reporting:

Prepare detailed financial reports across various business segments, entities, and revenue streams, with a strong understanding of foreign exchange (FX) impacts and intercompany transactions. Variance Analysis & Commentary:

Develop comprehensive variance analyses and provide insightful commentary on budget and forecast performance for monthly internal reporting, including board and shareholder presentations. Control & Process Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvements and strengthen internal controls across the group to ensure compliance and standardisation. Acquisition Integration:

Lead the acquisition accounting for newly acquired businesses Treasury & Cash Flow Management:

Manage treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and overall cash flow optimisation. Audit Liaison:

Act as the primary contact for the annual audit, collaborating with your team to provide necessary information, documentation, and analysis. Covenant Reporting:

Prepare and submit quarterly covenant reports for banking partners, ensuring timely and accurate compliance. Tax Compliance:

Oversee the preparation and submission of sales tax and VAT returns, ensuring full compliance across the group. Key Attributes: Proactive & Solution-Oriented:

A hands-on team player who works well with individuals at all levels, including senior management, to achieve shared goals. Required Experience & Skills: Professional Qualification:

Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA). Post-Qualification Experience:

At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, with a proven track record in a management role. Acquisition Accounting Expertise:
