Location: Tonbridge, Kent Salary: £27,351.61 per annum Contract type: Permanent Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week
Due to the nature of the work being carried out, the successful candidate will need to have a Full (Clean) UK Driving Licence and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be carried out by the company.
Landscape Services are looking for a dedicated, proactive and safety-conscious Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties from grass and hedge cutting to line marking. What you’ll be doing
Managing day‑to‑day grounds maintenance tasks to ensure work is completed to contract standards.
Supporting grass cutting, hedge trimming, border maintenance and sports field marking.
Working closely with the Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to resolve issues and follow instructions.
Building effective relationships with customers and responding to on‑site queries.
Preparing and completing required paperwork, inspections and records.
Caring for and maintaining machinery to ensure safe and correct use.
Using company IT and equipment to record daily activity.
Working safely and reporting incidents or near misses promptly.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in grounds maintenance or outdoor manual work.
Strong practical skills including safe use of machinery and equipment.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
A proactive, reliable and solutions‑focused approach.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
