Graduate / Assistant Transport PlannerCentral Birmingham | Salary up to £34,000 + BenefitsA fantastic opportunity has become available for a Graduate or Assistant Transport Planner to join a growing and well-established transport planning consultancy based in Central Birmingham.This consultancy works on a wide range of development-led transport planning projects across the UK, supporting planning applications for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring in a motivated early-career transport planner to support their expanding Midlands team.This role would suit either a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years' experience in transport planning who is looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment. The RoleYou will support senior consultants across a range of transport planning projects and gain exposure to the full development planning process.Typical responsibilities will include: Assisting with Transport Assessments and Transport StatementsSupporting the preparation of Travel PlansAssisting with traffic modelling and junction capacity assessmentsAnalysing transport data and preparing technical reportsProducing technical drawings and supporting planning submissionsLiaising with internal teams, clients and local authoritiesSupporting wider transport planning and development projectsCandidate RequirementsDegree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related disciplineStrong analytical and report writing skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Office suiteExcellent written and verbal communication skillsInterest in development planning and transport infrastructureExposure to AutoCAD, ARCADY, PICADY or LINSIG would be advantageous but not essentialWhat's on OfferSalary up to £34,000 depending on experienceClear career progression and structured developmentSupport towards professional development and chartershipPension and additional company benefitsCollaborative and supportive team environmentIf you are a Graduate or Assistant Transport Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a growing consultancy, please apply or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.Will Herman 07581619823 Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
