You will support pupils across the classroom, deliver targeted catch-up sessions, and learn the routines, expectations and consistency that schools expect from future teachers. You will leave with real examples for your application for a PGCE, your interviews, and your training year.The Role • You will support learning across KS1 and KS2 through 1:1, small group and whole-class support. • You will deliver short, structured interventions in reading, writing and maths to help pupils close gaps. • You will pre-teach key vocabulary and concepts so pupils can access lessons with more confidence. • You will support behaviour for learning by reinforcing routines, transitions and clear expectations. • You will help pupils develop independence by using scaffolding and prompts, not doing the work for them. • You will work closely with the class teacher to adapt tasks for pupils who need extra support. • You will track progress in a simple, consistent way and share clear feedback with the teacher. • You will support classroom organisation, including resources, displays and lesson preparation when needed. • You will follow safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times and report concerns immediately.The Candidate • You will have a 2:2 degree or above in any subject. • You will have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above. • You will communicate clearly and build positive relationships with pupils and staff. • You will be reliable, proactive and professional in a busy school environment. • You will be confident taking direction and acting on feedback, because that is how you improve quickly. • You will have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or you will be willing to obtain one.The School This ‘Good’ primary school in Wolverhampton has clear routines, strong leadership and a consistent approach to behaviour and learning.
