Job Introduction

Are you a graduate in a Computer Science or IT-related subject and keen to kick-start your career in ICT? We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our ICT Business Systems Support Teams at Solihull Council. These teams provide a comprehensive range of ICT support services to the Council and its partners, including the support, development, and maintenance of a wide range of corporate and departmental application systems.

Building on your existing IT knowledge and with training provided by the Council, you will support one or more of the Council's ICT business application systems, investigating and resolving service desk calls raised by customers. You will also undertake systems administration tasks such as user access management, system configuration changes, and database refresh activities, ensuring that system documentation is kept up to date.

There will be opportunities to get involved in ICT development work such as integrations, interfaces, and report development, as well as system upgrades and patches. You will have opportunities to grow your knowledge and experience, including training in new technologies as these arise.
