Grader Operator: Major Energy Infrastructure

Location: Isle of Skye, Scotland (High-Quality Accommodation Provided)

Rate: £26.63 per hour (CIS)

Rota: 14 days on, 7 days off

Duration: Long-Term Ongoing Contract (Expected 2-3 Years)

The Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and precision-focused Grader Operator to join a Tier 1 energy infrastructure project on the Isle of Skye. This is a critical role centered on the creation and maintenance of high-spec access roads and the final precision leveling of transmission tower foundation pads across challenging mountainous terrain.

You will be a key part of the earthworks team, ensuring all surfaces meet strict engineering tolerances in a high-intensity, safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Precision Grading: Executing fine grading for structural tower pads and heavy-duty access tracks to exact engineering specifications.

GPS Operation: Working independently to 3D models using Topcon or Trimble GPS systems to achieve "millimeter-perfect" finish levels.

Infrastructure Maintenance: Managing and maintaining site haul roads to ensure the safe movement of heavy plant and delivery vehicles in all weather conditions.

Terrain Management: Navigating and shaping challenging ground conditions, including rock and peat, while maintaining drainage falls and batters.
