This is a lovely role for someone with fluent GERMAN and some Sales support and Purchasing experience. The company is a specialist business based in ESSEX and acts as a purchasing “ hub” for heavy industry and manufacturing clients across the world who are looking for specific components . The business employs about 100 staff globally and the Head office is in Colchester where you will take orders from clients and then source technical products globally for dispatch. This is a classic very varied customer care and sales/purchasing role in which you will be taking inbound enquiries from clients who will ask you to source certain pieces of heavy industrial equipment. Your role is to support the sourcing process for heavy industrial equipment, create quotations, liaise with the client , add a “ finders fee” and then arrange shipping with the warehouse who will dispatch it . TITLE: GERMAN Buying Administrator

SALARY : £30, 000 - £35,000 per annum + 10% annual bonus , 25 days holiday and study support

Team: Manufacturing & Engineering

Flexible working : This is an office-based role

LOCATION : Colchester in Essex ( Free car parking available)

SECTOR : Purchasing within the manufacturing sector

HOURS: 8.30am-5pm

This is a classic technical customer care and purchasing role in which you will be taking inbound enquiries from clients who will ask you to source certain pieces of heavy industrial equipment.


Your role is to source heavy industrial equipment and then liaise with the client , add a “ finders fee” and then communicate with the warehouse who will dispatch it . Nice and straight forward.


THE ROLE: You will be supporting the UK and German sales team and will be given full training

  • Researching new suppliers globally in order to source products
  • Getting quotations
  • Comparing prices and service levels
  • Producing quotations for clients . Negotiate a price and delivery schedule with the supplier
  • Dealing with enquiries from clients looking for a specific piece of heavy industry or essential spare part
  • agree terms of business and delivery schedule with client
  • Liaise with the warehouse who will arrange all the logistics
  • All post sales administration
  • Provide an outstanding level of personal customer care at all times.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent German
  • Car driver (essential as the office is only accessible by road. NO public transport links)
  • General admin experience ideally ( sales support or general admin)
  • Experience in creating quotations
  • Local to Colchester area ( or happy to relocate)
