American Amusements Holdings Limited (AAHL) is the parent company of three successful Superbowl branded Family Entertainment Centres operating at Woking, Wokingham and Ryde. Each centre offers a dynamic mix of leisure activities including Tenpin Bowling, Laser Quest, Amusements, and Party Rooms alongside a strong F&B offering.
We are now seeking an experienced and ambitious Centre Manager to lead our Wokingham Superbowl site. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment, is passionate about people and commercial performance, and is ready to take full ownership of a busy leisure & hospitality venue.
About The Role
As Centre Manager, you will be the driving force behind the sites operational excellence, commercial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development. You will lead from the front, balancing day-to-day operations with business development, strategic planning and compliance oversight.
A key part of your role will be mentoring and developing your management team, ensuring strong succession planning, consistent standards, and a positive culture throughout the business.
You will regularly act as site Duty Manager, taking full responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful running of the centre, ensuring due diligence, operational compliance are met and operational standards are exceeded.
This role is perfect for an experienced manager who is energetic, commercially savvy, and motivated by developing people and driving results.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead all aspects of daily centre operations, ensuring a smooth, safe, and high-quality guest experience.
Maintain exceptional standards in presentation, service, compliance, and safety.
Ensure robust maintenance processes to minimise downtime and hazards.
Motivate and mentor Assistant Manager and Duty Managers, acting as a positive role model.
Oversee rota planning and labour control to meet targets.
Ensure operational procedures (SOPs, logbook systems, checklists) are adhered to.
Compliance & Safety
Act as the centres Responsible Person and Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS).
Create a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring all legislative and internal requirements are met.
Ensure all due diligence, fire safety checks, risk assessments and compliance documentation are completed diligently and on time.
Confidently engage with enforcement officers and maintain excellent relationships with local authorities. Continue to maintain the centres 5* Food Hygiene Rating
Financial & Commercial Management
Drive profitability across all revenue streams: Bowling, Laser Quest. Machines, F&B
Maintain strong cash control, stock management and GP margin performance.
Ensure accurate financial reporting, including stock counts and reconciliations.
Control purchasing and manage supplier relationships.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and implement effective action plans.
Sales, Marketing & Business Development
Work closely with the Sales Team, Senior Management and external partners to grow top-line revenue and keep operating costs under strict control.
Support marketing initiatives and ensure events and bookings are delivered well.
Build partnerships within the local community to raise the profile of the centre.
Contribute to in-house promotions, digital screens, and social media presence.
People, Training & Culture
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team at all levels within the centre.
Conduct regular managers meetings and team meetings. Setting realistic targets.
Ensure subordinate management and staff are fully trained and personnel files kept up to date.
Drive a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, train and performance-manage team members as required
Working Pattern
The successful candidate be required to maintain a flexible working pattern and responsive to the needs of the business. This will include working evenings, weekends and school holidays. What Were Looking For
Strong experience in a management role within leisure, hospitality, retail, or a similar fast-paced environment.
Inspirational leadership skills with a proven ability to develop teams.
Excellent understanding of operational standards, compliance, and guest experience.
Commercially astute, confident with P&L, labour planning and GP analysis.
Highly organised with good communication skills and an eye for detail.
A proactive and hands-on leader who thrives on ownership and responsibility.
Personal Licence, First Aid at Work, and DBS certification (or willingness to obtain).
