We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pub. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing staff, driving sales, and ensuring the venue operates efficiently and profitably. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Oversee all day-to-day pub operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with licensing laws Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships Monitor and control costs, including labor and inventory

Staff Management

Recruit, train, and supervise pub staff Create staff schedules and manage payroll Foster a positive, high-performance team culture Handle employee performance issues and conduct reviews

Customer Experience

Ensure exceptional customer service at all times Handle customer feedback, complaints, and resolve issues promptly Build relationships with regular patrons and the local community

Financial Performance

Manage budgets, sales targets, and profitability Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve revenue Drive promotions, events, and marketing initiatives

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and licensing laws Maintain accurate records and reporting Uphold responsible alcohol service practices

Requirements

Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in hospitality Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Financial awareness and experience managing budgets Knowledge of licensing laws and health & safety regulations Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Personal License Holder (or willingness to obtain) Experience in food-led pub environments Background in event planning or promotions
