London An established, multi award winning restaurant group is seeking a hands on General Manager to lead a high volume flagship site in Mayfair, London. This is a busy operation, delivering approximately 500 to 700 covers per day across lunch, dinner and takeaway service. The role requires strong leadership, financial control and a calm, structured approach to volume hospitality. You will be responsible for the full day to day management of the restaurant, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance and exceptional guest experience. Working closely with the Head Chef and reporting to the Group General Manager, you will lead a large front of house team and drive standards across service, compliance and commercial performance. You will: Lead all daily operations across service periods Deliver consistent guest experience standards Drive revenue performance and cost control Manage staffing levels and rota planning Oversee daily and weekly financial reconciliations Support payroll and financial administration Manage stock control and supplier relationships Reduce waste and protect gross profit Ensure full compliance with food safety and health regulations Lead front of house recruitment and onboarding Conduct performance management and development reviews Handle guest feedback and escalations Participate in weekly financial reviews Report directly to senior leadership This is a hands on leadership role within a fast paced environment. Financial understanding and operational discipline are essential. What We Are Looking For
Significant experience as a senior restaurant manager or general manager within a high volume operation Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams Strong understanding of P&L management, labour control and gross profit Experience within all day dining or high turnover restaurant environments Confident working with financial reporting and forecasting Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and compliance Comfortable using EPOS, spreadsheets and booking systems Hands on leadership style Calm under pressure Strong communication skills This role will involve a practical assessment and detailed financial discussion during the interview process. Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum Service charge: Paid at 100 percent.
