Shiny Brewery is looking for a hands-onGeneral Managerto lead and establish growth in our Gastro Pub. This is a multifaceted role combining wet sales and food sales, so it needs someone who can juggle operations while keeping standards high across the board.
This isn't just about running a bar - it's about managing a full guest experience , from first pint.
What You'll Be Doing
Taking full ownership of the pub. Oversee all aspects of pub operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, menu development, and financial performance.
Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and actively promote the brewerys beers and brand.
Work closely with the brewery team to ensure strong alignment between brewing operations and the pub offering, including product launches and seasonal releases.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment with a strong focus on beer knowledge, menu, and service standards.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout the pub.
Manage inventory levels, with particular attention to beer quality, cellar management, and stock rotation.
Monitor and analyse sales data, identify trends, and adjust operations accordingly to meet targets.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and promote beer-led initiatives and events.
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, build beer knowledge, address concerns, and foster teamwork.
Undertake any other reasonable management request.
Attend staff meetings when required.
Comply fully with all legal requirements, including GDPR, Employment law, Weights and Measures, Health and Safety, and alcohol licensing (this list is not exhaustive)
Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by law
Attend any Health and Safety training when required
Always ensure full compliance with all areas of Health and Safety as per the company's Health and Safety policy
Always ensure full compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations
Participate in health and safety inspections and audits, taking corrective action as needed.

Proven Management experience in food-led pubs
Strong understanding of guest journeys
A hands-on operator who leads from the floor
Commercially aware with good operational control
