• Position: Freight and Logistics Specialist
• Salary: £38000-£40000 plus excellent company benefits
• Location: Walsall, West Midlands
• Hours: Mon-Fri 0830-1700 – 3 days working from office and 2 days working from home, occasional UK travel (fully expensed)
• Due to workplace location it is beneficial to have your own transport. Free parking provided on site.

The role – Freight and Logistics Specialist

This role involves dealing with all aspects of Freight, Imports, Exports, ROW, EU and UK domestic.All modes of transport.

The role – duties and responsibilities

Arranging and administering Sea and Air Freight

Dealing with Imports, Exports, Courier, customs clearance,

Booking collections and deliveries, worldwide, EU and UK.

Good understanding of carrier portals.

Managing KPI’s and carrier performance.

Good understanding of Excel.

Negotiating freight rates, invoice approvals, day to day operations and general troubleshooting

Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

Great communication skills

Good freight / shipping knowledge

Good Microsoft Excel skills

Strong levels of attention to detail

Customs tariffs and Customs entries knowledge

Courier portal booking and reporting knowledge

Knowledge of freight forwarders

Physically fit, as moving some products may be required
