MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Operational team with a Framework Lead based in the South West region. The purpose of this role is to act as Framework Lead for the South West Water Framework. Strategic and instrumental decision making, enabling framework activities to meet the targets for delivery, turnover and profitability. You will support and advise to improve business performance leading to a successful culture and effective operational service and efficiency to the frameworks.You will report directly to the Director of UK Operation and the responsibilities will include:To lead on all contract preparation and associated client liaison dutiesTo support all aspects of the framework, providing strategic and professional guidance to the delivery teams from project identification through to takeover.Oversee the successful delivery of projects to scope, target cost, quality, programme and completion encompassing design, engineering, construction, handover and commercial aspects ensuring perfect delivery is achievedAdvise the project management team on project planning activities and initiatives and present recommendations and project delivery status updates to key customers and stakeholdersImplement and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational, programme, project management and developmentLead, review and challenge project budgets and forecast to ensure a consistent, challenging but deliverable approach is adoptedBe accountable for, and deliver, high levels of performance in key areas of health and safety, environment, sustainability and quality and champion continuous improvement and best value, ensuring compliance with the quality systems which constantly support our delivery philosophyEstablishing and maintaining financial metrics including outlooks, project/program development, project/program delivery, risk control, bidding and management of all managers and delivery teamsProvide the senior management team with advice and expertise on critical issues regarding the projects, and implementationEnsure that project costs are rigorously managed and expenditure is recorded accurately at all timesImplement the business plan for projects, managing and reviewing performance of contracts against financial and operational targetsMeet with the Board/Client to review project financials including cost to date, procurement, change orders, predicted final profit and contingency, and margin distributionWork closely with the leadership team to maximise global resource sharing, optimise technical skills and ensure that project best practice is developed and used effectivelyProvide direction, motivation and leadership to both internal staff and external consultants or contractors engaged in providing technical support activities to the projectAct as leader on technical engineering issuesForecast long-term resource needs based on investment programmesEssential :Experience in a similar role with senior management responsibilitiesStrategic, operational, technical and management skillsAble to demonstrate strong leadership capabilityDemonstrable client facing joint venture experienceDrive to establish and embed positive delivery within the Joint Venture organisationDegree or equivalent qualification in an engineering related discipline.Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectivesExperience in the Water/Waste Water Treatment IndustryTechnical Competencies: Expert1.
