The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles to transport goods between locations. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and shipments. Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage stock levels. Perform routine checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Handle materials in accordance with safety protocols, including heavy lifting when required. Collaborate with warehouse staff to streamline shipping and receiving processes. Skills Proficient in using a warehouse management system for inventory tracking. Strong materials handling skills, including the ability to lift heavy items safely. Valid forklift certification is preferred, with experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding operational workflows.
