FOOD TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

East London | Full-Time or Part-Time | ASAP Start

Principal Education are currently recruiting an experienced Food Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in East London. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled teacher to deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

THE ROLE

Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum

Plan, prepare, and assess practical and theory-based lessons

Maintain a safe, organised, and well-managed food technology classroom

Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, confidence, and creativity

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment

Work collaboratively with the Design & Technology department and wider staff team

Ensure all health & safety and food hygiene standards are followed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant UK teaching experience

Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities

Good knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene regulations

Reliable, professional, and adaptable approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time (flexible)

Pay: Competitive rates, dependent on experience
